Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE)
Information about the collection system for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
Running our business without harming the environment and following the rules for the proper handling of waste electrical and electronic equipment is a priority for us. The seller of the SkinVibe store, ITRG-ZIĘBA-MAGIERA-STYLIŃSKI SPÓŁKA JAWNA, based in Kraków, is entered in the BDO Register as an equipment producer and cooperates with an Electrical and Electronic Equipment Recovery Organisation.
BDO registration number: 000091098
Each of us is a user of electrical and electronic equipment and therefore a potential producer of waste that is hazardous to people and the environment. On the other hand, waste equipment is a valuable material from which raw materials such as copper, tin, glass, iron and even gold and silver can be recovered. That is why we encourage the proper handling of waste equipment.
How to hand in waste equipment when buying from SkinVibe
When you buy new equipment from us (for example a hair dryer or a straightener), you can hand in your waste equipment of the same type, serving the same functions, free of charge, in a quantity no greater than the number of devices purchased (the “one for one” rule). To arrange collection, write to us at kontakt@skinvibe.pl, quoting your order number. Based on the details provided, we will send you a return label so you can send in your waste equipment free of charge at a parcel drop-off point.
Where else you can hand in waste equipment
- Leave your waste equipment in the shop where you buy the new device. Every shop is obliged to accept old equipment free of charge if you buy new equipment of the same type there, serving the same function.
- Leave small waste equipment in a large store without having to buy a new one. Stores with a sales area for household equipment of at least 400 m² are obliged to accept, on their premises or in their immediate vicinity, waste equipment from households whose external dimensions do not exceed 25 cm, free of charge and without the need to buy new equipment.
- Hand in your waste equipment at the place of delivery. When delivering household equipment to a buyer, the distributor is obliged to collect waste equipment from households free of charge at the place of delivery, provided that the waste equipment is of the same type and served the same functions as the equipment delivered.
- Take your waste equipment to a collection point. You will find information about the nearest location on the website or notice board of your municipal office.
- Leave the equipment at a service point. If repairing the equipment is not cost-effective or is technically impossible, the service point is obliged to accept the device free of charge.
Equipment collected in this way goes to specialised processing plants, where hazardous components are removed first and the remaining parts undergo recovery and recycling processes.
The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol
Every device powered by electricity or batteries should be marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol.

The crossed-out wheeled bin symbol placed on equipment, its packaging or the accompanying documents means that the product must not be disposed of together with other waste. It is the user's responsibility to hand over waste equipment to a designated collection point for proper processing. At the same time, the marking means that the equipment was placed on the market after 13 August 2005.
Waste equipment must not be disposed of together with other waste! Financial penalties may apply.
Proper handling of waste equipment prevents potential negative consequences for the natural environment and human health. At the same time, we save the Earth's natural resources by reusing the raw materials obtained from processing the equipment.
Legal basis (Poland): the Act of 11 September 2015 on waste electrical and electronic equipment (consolidated text: Journal of Laws 2024, item 573), in particular Article 37 and Article 39.
